Healing Section: Excerpts on Healing from our Booklets

From our booklet on the Ten Commandments:
By breaking the Third Commandment, millions of human beings are not only bringing upon themselves the automatic penalty of death - death by Gehenna fire unless they REPENT of this enormous sin - they are also depriving themselves of the wonderful knowledge of the Eternal God; the knowledge and understanding of His great purpose and plan, and depriving themselves of the fabulous gifts of God's Holy Spirit, including repentance, conversion, the receiving of God's Holy Spirit, and healing.

From the booklet, "Why Keep Saturday for Sunday:

Do you want God to fulfill His promise to you of GIVING you eternal life if you repent of sin, and surrender to Him?

Do you want God to keep His word? To fulfill His promises? God makes promises about healing us when we are sick; about delivering us from terrible troubles; about taking our spirit unto Himself, and then bringing us back from the dead at the resurrection! He makes many wondrous promises! You and I hope God will FULFILL His promises, just like we hope a car or home we purchase will be delivered to us lawfully-LEGALLY!

The Old Testament is just that: a testament between God and His people, like a will. God promised to be Israel's God; to be their protector, provider, and faithful "husband," if they would obey His laws, which were given for their good.

From our booklet, "What is God's Name?":

"What's in a Name?"

A name merely means, "A word or a phrase that constitutes the distinctive designation of a person or a thing," or, a word that conveys meaning, designation, character, nature, identity, and understanding about that person or thing.

The names and titles of God do precisely that. They convey to our mind as we think deeply about the many names, titles and attributes of God, His creative power, His covenant relationship with man, His boundless goodness, His limitless grace, His fathomless mercy, His majesty, His awesome POWER, and help us to develop that healthy AWE of our great Creator God, and the family called "Elohim," that God intends.

Remember, Jesus said we should commence our prayers by addressing the One whom Jesus came to reveal; the "Father" of the Divine Family called "Elohim," as "Our Father, who art in heaven." Is it "wrong" to apply some of the Divine names and titles to God when searching for Him in prayer? Not at all! There are appropriate occasions when I will use God's Divine title, "Jehovah-Ropheka," when I am praying for healing for someone. If, in our prayers, we sometimes speak of God in one of the Bible-revealed names or titles which are appropriate to the occasion, this would seem proper. On the other hand, as you reflect on everything you have learned in this brief booklet, it appears ludicrous that God wants us to single out only one of the many, many Divine names and titles and unfailingly attempt to contact Him by using our own fallible anglicized attempts at pronouncing ancient Hebrew (which we cannot do with any degree of accuracy!) and, unless we do so, God will not hear!

From the Doctrinal Statement [STP] on the Holy Days:
Passover: The bread and wine which Jesus instituted at His last supper and which are taken yearly by the Church today are explained symbolically both by Jesus Himself and by the apostle Paul. The wine represents the shed blood of Jesus who gave Himself as an offering to pay for all the sins of mankind. That full and complete sacrifice makes it possible for one to have any and all sins forgiven upon repentance. The wine also represents the New Covenant made between God and the Christian by the blood of Christ.

The bread represents the body of Jesus which was torn and beaten for us all, in Christ's ultimate sacrifice for mankind. Perhaps the fullest discussion of its meaning is found in John 6, in which it is shown that Jesus is the "bread of life." The eating of the bread and the drinking of the wine represent partaking of the eternal life which only God can give. The beaten body of Christ also represents the stripes He took on His back enabling us to claim the gift of divine healing for our physical infirmities (Is. 53:4-5; 1 Pet. 2:24).

From the booklet, "Europe and America in Prophecy":

From the "riddle and the parable," and the puzzle of the "scarlet thread" (the famous "breach" between the Pharez and the Zarah line), we learned that God intended cropping off a "tender twig" of the royal tree representing the lineage of David-and that this represented one of the king's daughters, who would be "planted" (according to Jeremiah's commission) in a new land.

Thus, Almighty God intended healing the breach between the two lines; fulfilling His promise to David until the time of the second coming of Jesus Christ, until "He come whose right it is"! (Ezekiel 21:25-27).

(7) ANSWERED PRAYER. Of course, evolutionists never pray. But there have been countless thousands of miraculous answers to prayer-they occur every day! The miracles of Christ were real! The intervention of God through miraculous healings is documented down through history! That God answers the PRAYERS of His converted, believing people is an absolute proof of God.

From our booklet, "How to have a Happy Marriage":
If you are of the millions who have gone through divorce, whose marriage is miserably unhappy, perhaps you should commence the healing process by first looking to find the root cause of your marital failures. Come to understand all the influences which have shaped you, made you what you are. Then, where you can come face to face with your own responsibility for your attitudes and actions, repent of them. Where you can understand that other influences-an abusive parent, for example-was largely responsible for some of your psychoses, then you can conquer such attitudes by admitting their cause, analyze why you act the way you do, and work to overcome them.

Coming to understand that you are a product of your upbringing does not suggest that, as an adult, you do not accept responsibility for your actions. Rather, it should be the beginning of a healing process, a way of overcoming subconscious guilt, a first step toward a new and different outlook.

In Word from commentary, "What is your Goal?" and speaking about what the World Tomorrow will be like:
(8) There will be no stock markets, no bond markets, no futures markets, and no speculation about precious metals. There will be no labor unions, no insurance companies, no doctors, clinics, hospitals, hospices or nursing homes. There will be instantaneous HEALING for those who become sick, and all employers will be required to give fair wages for a fair day's work.

From our booklet, "Abomination of Desolation"
"And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, [the first beast of Revelation 13 is the same beast as the fourth beast of Daniel 7; representing Imperial Rome from the time of the earliest Roman emperors, and Romulus who gave Rome its name, to the latter-day rulers of the "Holy Roman Empire"] and causeth the earth and them that dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed" (Revelation 13:11-12).

This deadly wound was the fall of Imperial Rome in 476. Its healing was in 554, when Belesarius, victorious in northern Africa, was instrumental in restoring the power of Rome. Notice that this false religious leader, the "little horn" who thought to change times and laws, who was full of names of blasphemy, and who martyred God's saints is empowered by Satan to perform miracles.

From our booklet, "Answer to Unanswered Prayer"
Jesus Christ said we are to show honor, respect, even awe toward the name of God, by including in our prayer, "Hallowed be Thy Name." He intended that we come to understand the many names and titles of both Himself and His Father; that we come to know the usage of His names and titles as they relate to various situations. For example, if one were to pray to God for healing, it would be altogether appropriate to remind God that one of His very names is Jehovah (or Yawveh) Ropheka, God our Healer.

------

I have known of dozens and dozens of miraculous hearings in my more than thirty-one years in Christ's ministry. I have heard personal testimonials, read letters by the score of those who have experienced dramatic healings; those who have been blessed with new jobs, increased income, or been delivered out of terrible trials. I know all things are possible with God.
