Purpose: To present the benefits of having a video projector to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ and to feed the flock. To list resources for procurement of video projectors.

Video Projectors are designed to project video tapes and computer generated presentations on a large screen. These projectors have proved a very effective tool for sermon presentation and evangelistic activities. Video projectors are widely used by churches and business corporations.

There are several makes and models of this product. A typical projector can project a video image anywhere from 16 feet to 35 feet and more. Better models can project a extremely sharp and clear picture even with all the lights on. They are very effective for large audiences and can add power and depth to any presentation. A minister can use a projector to present main points and scriptures on the screen while he talks. Videos now have the power of a theatrical release. They are outstanding for Bible Studies and Movie Nights. With the use of the Internet a local church could project the Tyler Services live, have an Area Coordinator conduct a live Bible Study or a minister could address several churches at the same time on the Sabbath.

Video projectors are costly but are worthwhile of a church project to save for one. They can also be purchased used. In addition, as has often been done, sister churches can purchase one together and schedule its use on a rotating basis.

To really appreciate the power of video projectors, you must have seen one used. I recommend that you consider the brightness of the projector as you make your selection. Brightness is measured in ANSI lumens. Only consider projectors that have a brightness of 1200 or more lumens.   If you have not been present while one was used, find a source near you and have a demonstration scheduled.  Following are sources of video projectors, related equipment and information::
