Feast 2005 at Lake Tahoe and Kings Beach

Not in decades have the fall colors been so brillant.

For two years our song leader, David has been asking about bear sightings. Best way to begin our album.
|
|
|
|
There was a 500-pound bear raiding garbage dumpsters in Tahoe City during the Feast.
|
|
|
|

The conference room was transformed for the Bible Bowl. Tables arranged for 6 potential teams of up to 6 each. 100 Bible questions asked.
|
|
|
|
Team members responded to questions by raising the red disks. Team with the most correct answers won. 99 questions were answered correctly.
|

Raffle 2005. This & the next 11 photos show some of the 140+ gifts in the raffle. Tickets 4 for a dollar. 1 part tickets with member name on back.

|
Model cars and flashlight gift packs did well this year. 4 of the gifts had surprize bonuses of $65.00.

|
|
For the second year, Dottie donated collector plates to the raffle.
|
|
|
|
This VHS/DVD Player/Recorder was purchased for the Entertainment night we had on Wednesday. It then went in the raffle.
|
|
|
|
Prizes included two $1,000 shopping sprees and two $400 free lodging certificates. We also had $100, $50 and two twenty dollar prizes.
|
|
|
|

This was a hand-carved bear planter. Winner also got the flowers.

We also had as prizes CDs with 112 booklets and numerous sermons and TV programs of Garner Ted Armstrong

The Coke cups acted as ticket colletors. Many of the prizes were revolved around chocolate, coffee, liquor and chocolate-covered liquors.

The hand-made pillow was donated by Irene of Yakima, WA

|
The Lake Tahoe calenders are always a favorite prize. We had four in the raffle.
|
|
|
|
Members gather for the raffle. It must be almost 7 PM.

Chris Cumming acted as host and announcer. Penny served as ticket selector. This was the 10th year for the Northwest raffle team.
|
|
|
|
Kristy was our prize display lady for the raffle this year.
|
|
|
|
The last prize to go was the stuffed bear and the winner was Kristy!! The raffle team put out more than 140 prizes in 75 minutes, a new record.
|
|
|
|
|
Tahoe Picnic 2005. About 55 gathered for this year's picnic right on the lake just down from the Conference Center.
|
|
|
|
