Bible Study
Subject: Education (learning, observing, school) Part 2 of 2

What is God's desire for education?

Bible Reading: Psalm 78:1-8

Key Bible Verse: For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children. –Ps 78:5-6

Children need spiritual roots. God commanded that the stories of His mighty acts in Israel's history and His laws be passed on from parents to children. This shows the purpose and importance of religious education–to help each generation obey God and set their hope on Him. It is important to keep children from repeating the same mistakes as their ancestors. What are you doing to pass on the history of God's Work to the next generation?
