Purpose:
To suggest specific software programs to
computer users in the Intercontinental
Church of God to insure the effective
exchange of documents and graphics between
members, local churches, the Website Office
and the Headquarters Office of the church.
Following is a suggested list of software
you might want to purchase:
-
Microsoft Word 2007:
Very good word processor, widely used,
well supported and easy to use. Part of
Microsoft Office which you can also
obtain at software outlets everywhere.
See Word.
See Microsoft
Office.
-
Microsoft Publisher 2007:
Excellent for newsletters, church
bulletins and documents with graphics.
See their web
site
-
PC Study Bible:
Very good Bible Study program with lots
of Bible Study tools including
dictionaries, concordances and
commentaries. Great help for sermonette
and sermon givers.

-
WinZip:
Good tool for unzipping compressed
files. Often large files are send by
disk or modem to your computer. WinZip
will help you decompress these files.
See their web
site
-
Expressions Web [replaces FrontPage]:
This is the software we use now to
create and maintain the EA and Church
web sites. If you use this software to
create a local ICG web site, we can
help.

SOFTWARE DOWNLOADING
Many software programs may be purchased and
downloaded right from the Internet. See our
Software Download
page
If you have suggestions for software
programs that we all just cannot live
without,
contact us.
Note:
Clearly, anyone may purchase any software
they desire.
Since the above listed software is what is
being used at the Web Site Office, we are
able to assist people with learning the
software or overcoming difficulties with it.
Also, if there is some consistency in
software among members file transfers are
possible. Without some consistency file
transfers are difficult.
