Living by every Word of God while involved with the Matthew 18
Process
Read over these verses BEFORE
invoking the Matthew 18 Process.
Heb 12:14
Follow peace with all men, and holiness,
without which no man shall see the Lord:
Ps 133:1
133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell
together in unity!
Prov 15:1
A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
Prov 16:7
When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at
peace with him.
Prov 17:14
The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore
leave off contention, before it be meddled with.
Matt 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of
God.
Rom 12:18-21
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all
men.
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto
wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the
Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him
drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Rom 14:19
Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and
things wherewith one may edify another.
1 Cor 1:10
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that
ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you;
but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the
same judgment.
Eph 4:1-8
4:1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk
worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one
another in love;
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope
of your calling;
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in
you all.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of
the gift of Christ.
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity
captive, and gave gifts unto men.
1 Thess 5:15
See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that
which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.
1 Tim 6:11
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after
righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
2 Tim 2:22
Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity,
peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
James 3:17-18
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable,
gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without
partiality, and without hypocrisy.
18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make
peace.
1 Peter 3:11-14
11 Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are
open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that
do evil.
13 And who is he that will harm you, if ye be followers of that which is
good?
14 But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be
not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled;
Conclusion:
If we are living by every Word of God,
becoming like Christ and growing in spiritual maturity, we are not
easily offended. Moreover, we are willing to take the wrong rather
than hurt the church or our brother in anyway. Christ is the
ultimate being who resolves these situations. He will, more often
than not, resolve it through
you by the power of the Holy Spirit.
