FEAST SITE CHANGED FROM GALVESTON TO SAN ANTONIO

has been changed from Galveston to San Antonio, Texas. See

FEAST ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PANAMA CITY BEACH, FLORIDA
Following is an overview of the
events scheduled for the Feast of Tabernacles in Panama City
Beach, Florida. The “Schedule of Activities” can be printed
at the church website as well.
REGISTRATION: To encourage
people to register early and to make things more fun, we
will be giving each person registered a chance at a door
prize to be awarded at the conclusion of the Feast Raffle.
Please remember to register all family members in attendance
as early as possible and get your tickets filled out for the
drawing.
HOSPITALITY NIGHT: Join us for
the official kick-off of the 2008 Feast of Tabernacles,
which begins at sunset on Monday, October 13, 2008. We will
all meet in Salons 1 through 4 at The Boardwalk Beach Resort
and Conference Center, 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Light
refreshments will be served.
BIBLE BOWL: Brush up on your
Bible trivia! This year teams will compete in the Bible
Bowl, a fast-paced game of Bible trivia. We’ll meet in
Salons 1-4 at The Boardwalk Beach Resort and Conference
Center, Tuesday, October 14, 2008, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM.
BOWLING / SKATING PARTY: We’ll
meet at Rock It Lanes on Wednesday, October 15, 2008, 3:00
PM – 6:00 PM for some fun and fellowship. The price is
$9.00 per person for three hours of bowling, which includes
your shoe rental. The ticket price also includes unlimited
skating until closing at 2:00 AM. Please sign up for this
event so we can insure we secure enough bowling lanes.
Bumpers will be set up on the lanes for children so they
won’t roll gutter ball.
SABBATH SCHOOL: Classes will be
held Thursday, October 16, 2008 through Saturday, October
18, 2008. Please note that the start time for classes has
been changed to 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM. Instructors will
be Mrs. Heather Edmondson, (ages 4-7), Mrs. Debbie Nelson,
(ages 8-12), and Mr. Max Valdary, (ages 13-19). We
encourage parents to have their children in attendance as
all instructors have put a lot of hard work into these
lessons to enrich your children’s lives. The location of
this event will be announced at the Feast.
SEA BREEZE WINERY TOUR: We will
tour the award winning, Sea Breeze Winery, Thursday, October
16, 2008, on Hutchison Boulevard (also known as Middle Beach
Road) from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The tour is FREE, and will be
followed by a wine tasting for ages 21 and up. However,
those under 21 may participate in the tour. Make sure you
sign up for this event so we can insure enough samples are
prepared for our group.
KARAOKE: Start “honing your
pipes!” The Feast Karaoke will be held Thursday, October 16,
2008 from 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM in Salons 1-4, at The Boardwalk
Beach Resort and Conference Center.
LUAU / CAKE WALK / FUN AND
GAMES: Our annual Feast Cookout will have a Hawaiian theme
this year, so break out your grass skirt, leis, and colorful
Hawaiian shirts and head out to Saint Andrews State Park,
Friday, October 17, 2008 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM for a
buffet-style Hawaiian Luau Cookout featuring hamburgers,
beef hot dogs, soda, and all the trimmings. We’re asking
everyone to bring their favorite side dish and/or dessert as
a complement to the entrée. The cost will be $5.00 per
person plus a $5.00 charge per car entering the park.
In addition to the cookout and
back by popular demand is the Cake Walk. If you would like
to donate a cake for this event please drop it off at the
Registration and Information table the morning of the Luau
or bring it with you to the cookout.
We will also have horse shoes to
play and the limbo for those flexible enough to try it.
For the children we will have a
Hula Hoop Contest, Hula Dance Contest, and Bubble Gum
Blowing Contest for ages up to 12. Prizes will be awarded
to the kids for best hula dance, best Hawaiian costume, who
can hula hoop the longest, and who can blow the largest
bubble with their bubble gum. No child will go away empty
handed because goody bags will be given to all of them.
BIBLE STUDY: A Bible study will
be held Friday, October 17, 2008 at The Boardwalk Beach
Resort and Conference Center in Salons 1-4 at 7:00 PM – 9:00
PM. The facilitator for this event will be announced later.
FAMILY DANCE: Remember dancing
in your living room to the Top 40, American Bandstand,
sock-hops, Soul Train, Saturday Night Fever and your prom?
Remember big band swing dancing, jitter bug, disco or maybe
even the Charleston? You’re invited to come relive these fun
times and dance the night away, Saturday, October 18, 2008
at The Boardwalk Beach Resort and Conference Center, Salons
1-4, 7:00 PM -11:00 PM.
Come dressed in the fashions of
the decade of your choice. Find an old leisure suit, poodle
skirt, some bell bottoms, flapper dress, hoop skirts…any
style from any era. The possibilities are endless. Prizes
will be awarded for the best costumes. And for something
different this year, everyone will have the opportunity to
VOTE for their favorites. The winners will be announced
later in the evening once the ballots have been tabulated.
RIPLEY’S BELIEVE IT OR NOT MUSEUM
AND 4-D THEATRE: We’ll meet Sunday, October 19, 2008, 2:00
PM – 4:00 PM, for this event. We’ve obtained group pricing
as follows: Adult Combo (Museum and Theatre), $17.99; Child
Combo (age 6 to 12), $14.99 or, for the museum only, Adults,
$13.99, Children (age 6 to 12) $10.99 and children under 5
are admitted free. Tickets may be purchased at the door.
Please make sure to tell them you are with The
Intercontinental Church of God to receive the discounted
rate. We’ve heard the 4-D theatre is well worth the price
of the ticket, so join us for the excitement.
FEAST RAFFLE: The ever popular
Feast Raffle will be held Sunday, October 19, 2008, from
7:00 PM until 10:00 PM at The Boardwalk Beach Resort, Salons
1-4. This is one of our most popular events of the Feast.
All proceeds from the raffle will be used to offset
incidental expenses incurred during the Feast. Tickets will
be fifty cents each.
SEA SCREAMER CRUISE: Back by
popular demand! The Sea Screamer Cruise will set sail in
the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico, Monday,
October 20, 2008, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Captain Andy will play
host to a water gun battle, and his crew will provide
dolphin tattoos to all of the kids. The cost is $14.00 per
person for this chartered cruise. Children two and under are
free.
FEAST ANNOUNCEMENT – MYRTLE BEACH
1...USHERS NEEDED: If you are interested in helping out in
ushering during the feast, please meet in the main hall
first morning 800 am...with myself, Robert Nunnery, and Jim
Pennix, who will be organizing ushering again this year.
2...CHOIR DIRECTOR: is needed,
if you have talent in this area, and would like to organize
and direct choir during the feast please contact me ASAP,

3...CLOTHING CLOSET: For the
first time at Myrtle beach, If you have good clean,
laundered, good quality clothing, that would like to share,
by giving to other brethren, please bring it to the feast,
we will display it starting the second day, and for two days
after, the it will all be giving to the local
charity...please no undergarments.
