Granola Bars
 
Ingredients:
 
3 1/2 C. quick oats
1 C. raisins
1 C. chopped nuts
1/3 C. honey or molasses
1/3 C. butter, melted
1/3 C. peanut butter
1/2 C. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. salt
 
Directions:
 
Combine all ingredients; mix well. Press firmly into well greased l5x10 inch jelly roll pan. Bake in preheated oven at 350° about 20 minutes. Cool; cut into bars and store in tightly covered container in cool, dry place or in refrigerator. When using 13 inch by 9 inch pan or baking dish, bake at 325° for 30 to 35 minutes.

VARIATIONS: In place of raisins and nuts, use coconut, sunflower seeds, carob chips, etc. In place of 1/3 cup peanut butter, use another 1/3 cup butter.
